The way Michael laughs at Jon after seeing his horrified face makes me think of when a parent laughs when their baby loses their toy just before they comfort the baby. He doesn’t take Jon’s feelings seriously in this at all. He’s treating him like this whole situation isn’t a big deal and finds it adorable that a human is having such a fit (or something like that). Plus, I find it admirable that Jon took the offer so that the world would be saved. But then again he probably just weighed his options and found no possible escape, so he just chose the less painful death 🤷🏻♀️
